Adaptive Planning Free Training (How to Sign Up)

As per our meeting today, please see the email chain below about the free self-paced training classes for Adaptive Planning. The available classes are listed below.
I just finished the Workday Adaptive Planning - Introduction to Modeling course. It was very good and I recommend that you all take it. Workday recommends that you start with this class. It goes through all of the Adaptive Planning basics (modeling, each type of sheet, and basic administration). It is relevant to everyone on the project team. It has made it much easier for me to look and understand what Huron is building for us. And it has given me an understanding of what capabilities are available in Adaptive Planning.

The screenprint below shows what the screen looks like when you do the search described in the Access Training as a Learner section of the Workday Community article Adaptive Planning Administrator Training Kit. This article also lists the courses and gives other info.
I am expecting that you should all have access too. (Kathy, I just added you, so you may not see the courses until tomorrow.)

Please let me know if you have any trouble accessing the courses. Hopefully this will give us all an opportunity to get a headstart on learning Adaptive Planning.

However, I do not see the Adaptive Planning training classes assigned to me when I try to access them. I have a case with Workday open now to fix this. It may take them another 24 hours - I will keep you updated.

I expect that you all received the same "Workday Subscription Content Assigned" message on 12/2. I am assuming that you are not able to see the content yet either, but please let me know if you can see it.

It looks like it takes up to 24 hours to be given access after I did the adds - I am not able to see the courses yet. I recommend that you wait until Monday before trying to access them.
The Workday Community article Adaptive Planning Administrator Training Kit lists the courses and gives other info. Please see the Accessing Training as a Learner section for instructions on how to access the courses. (Again, these courses may not show up for you for up to 24 hours from now.) Please make sure that you do not select the $3,200 Adaptive Planning class if it is shown in the filter!

Please let me know if you have any questions. If all goes well, on Monday morning we will all have access to Workday's self-paced Adaptive Planning training!

Hi Patrick,

I noticed that your organization has access to the Adaptive Planning Training Kit until June 16, 2031 and that you have 29 available slots for learners to be added.

Please note that enrolling into Adaptive Planning Kit courses do not incur a fee, however you must be added to the Planning Kit in order to access the courses.

After a learner is assigned, it may take up to 24 hours for Adaptive Planning Administrator Training Kit access to be effective in the Learning Center.

We have included instructions on how to add learners to the Planning Kit below:

From Community:
1. Click the Menu button in the top left-hand corner of the page.
2. Click Training Administration.
3. Click Subscriptions.
4. Click Manage next to the desired library.
5. Click the green "+" button next to the learner you want to add and the blue "-" button next to the learner you want to remove.
6. Click Save Changes.

Hi Pat,

Following up from yesterday’s conversation, Workday offers 2 training programs for Adaptive.

Brief detail for each is as follows:

Adaptive Planning Fundamentals: 4 days, 4 credits, and instructor led. The costs are $3,200.

Adaptive Planning Administrator Training Kit: 50 hours’ worth of content, 17 courses, and self-paced. The cost for this varies by organization.
