Job and Position Management
This Reference Guide explains the Workday staffing models for Job Management and Position Management.
These two staffing models are available in Workday and determine how jobs are defined and filled. Each Laboratory and Department has a Primary Supervisory Organization which is classified as Position Management and a subordinate Sup Org which is classified as Job Management. The position management sup org will only house employees while the job management sup org can have either employees or contingent workers.
