How do I onboard a new employee?
All tasks are completed in Workday. The new hire will receive a welcome email from HR notifying them they will receive login instructions to Workday. Workday will provide the new hire with tasks and schedule, copying in the Hiring Manager.
How will collecting documents be handled?
Documents will be collected at the time of initiation of the various tasks that bring workers into Workday. For example, if a Candidate applies for a job through recruiting, they will upload their Resume/CV. If they are hired for the position, their Resume/CV will be added to their Worker Documents. In the context of a Direct Hire or Contract Contingent Worker task, HR expects all documents required for the approval of the appointment to be attached at the time of initiation. A validation rule exists that will stop the process if no attachment is included.
How are I-9 documents handled?
Employees will complete I-9 forms in Workday. However, this does not replace the HR process that occurs in person to view and copy acceptable work ID(s).
What address should Foreign Nationals provide before their first day (when filling out paperwork)?
Foreign nationals should provide their US address of where they will be residing as of their hire date.
